Introduction

Cinna:

Hi! I'm Cinna!

Cinna:

I like tea, and I'd like to give some tea suggestions if you'd like to hear them.

Cinna:

Is there anything you are interested in?

Cinnamon Tea

Cinna:

Want to know about my favorite cinnamon tea?

Cinna:

It's Hot Cinnamon Spice from Harney and Sons (not sponsored).

Cinna:

Or maybe it's Hot Cinnamon Sunset...? (still not sponsored)

Cinna:

I don't know why, but it seems like they took the same tea and gave it two names.

Cinna:

It's good tea though! It has a serious cinnamon kick to it. It's good hot or cold, and you don't have to worry about over-steeping it!

Cinna:

If you let it keep steeping, the cinnamon flavor gets more and more potent, but not necessarily bitter.

Cinna:

Best of all though, it tastes sweet without any added sugar!

Cinna:

There are also decaf and herbal options.

Cinna:

The herbal variety is less bitter which makes the sweetness stand out more and it tastes smoother overall

Cinna:

If you like cinnamon, you should definitely give it a try!

Moroccan Mint Tea

Cinna:

You want to know my cool tricks involving Moroccan Mint Tea?

Cinna:

While you can buy Moroccan Mint in tea bags, they don't taste right in my opinion.

Cinna:

It's way better if you brew your own mix of it.

Cinna:

The mix I have been doing is 3 bags of gunpower green tea and 3 sprigs of fresh mint that are like... 4-5 inches long. I steep that all in my teapot filled with 1200ml of boiling water. After 3 minutes remove the teabags and mint from the teapot, then add 3tbsp of sugar. Give it a good mix to melt the sugar and you are done.

Cinna:

It all melds into a surprisingly tasty flavor combination that is good hot or cold!

Cinna:

That's not all though, you can mix the tea to make other treats such as...

Cinna:

The Moroccan Mint Sparkler!

Cinna:

Make sure your mint tea is cold. Fill a cup half-way with your tea and fill the other half with Sprite.

Cinna:

The lemon-lime soda works well for some reason and it's really great with ice during a hot day.

Cinna:

A bit harder to do, but you can also turn it into a satisfying slushie.

Cinna:

I was able to try it at a certain theme park, but I don't really have the tools to make it on my own.

Cinna:

Still, it's worth a try if you have the means.

Alternative Brewing Methods

Cinna:

There are a couple ways of brewing tea. Some of them are more convenient than others.

Cinna:

There is the classic method of just boiling water and brewing your tea. But you can also brew a concentrated batch that you then water down later.

Cinna:

If you want some iced black tea but don't want to wait, bring half a gallon of water to a boil and remove from the burner. Throw 6-8 teabags in or like, 4-6 tbsp of loose leaf tea and steep for 15 minutes. Afterwards, strain the leaves from the tea. Then you can either pour the concentrated tea into a pitcher and fill it up with another half-gallon of cold water. This is quick and convenient, but leaves you with lukewarm tea. A better option is to pour your concentrated tea and then fill the rest of the pitcher up ice instead.

Cinna:

With the ice method you can have nearly instant iced tea!

Cinna:

The only downside is you need about half a gallon of ice.

Cinna:

Another option though, if you want less effort and don't mind waiting, is to cold brew your tea.

Cinna:

Fill your pitcher with a gallon of water, then add 6-8 teabags and place it in your fridge overnight. When you wake up the next morning, remove the teabags.

Cinna:

Now you have a full pitcher of tea ready for the day and it took almost no effort!

Cinna:

Supposedly cold-brewing your tea also makes it less bitter, while increasing it's antioxidants.

Cinna:

That's not why I drink tea though. It's just good.

Assam Tea

Cinna:

If you like the normal mass-produced black teas, like Lipton (not sponsored), but wanted to bump it up a notch then I got a tea for you.

Cinna:

Assam!

Cinna:

It's like.. The tea flavor part of most mass-produced black teas.

Cinna:

Like you removed some of the muddier notes of Lipton (still not sponsored) and were left with just a pure essence of tea. Or at least... that's what it taste's like to me.

Cinna:

I am sure that the CTC Assam I've had from Harney and Sons (not sponsored) tastes like how I wished most black tea would taste.

Cinna:

Just use it how you would use normal black tea. Cold brew, hot brew, custom mixes. It works anywhere a normal boxed tea does just, in my opinion, better.
